In Italian, “Dono dal Cielo” means ‘Gift from Heaven’.
VINEYARD TO TABLE…GRAPE TO GLASS
We are following our lifelong passion for that perfect balance of earth, sun and soil. Dono dal Cielo was born in 2002 with our first 6,000 Zinfandel vines planted on 7 acres. Secreted away in the graceful rolling hills of Newcastle, we offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere that invites you to relax and have fun while sampling our handcrafted wines. We want you to feel at home, gather here and cozy up with each other. Take a bottle or a glass outside on the patio or stroll through the vineyard. Bring your children, your friends and your dogs. We welcome your family to become part of our Dono family!
How the Tasting Works: Stand at our Tasting Bar and enjoy five samples for $5 or the Tasting Fee is on the house with a bottle purchase. We currently have four white wines and three zinfandel’s available. Our petite sirah will be released in the fall.
Picnic at the Vineyard: We have an expansive outdoor space and outdoor seating overlooking our two beautiful vineyards. We always suggest you bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs as there is minimal outdoor seating.
Our Dono Crew: Our Tasting Room Staff are the coolest!! They are fun, witty, friendly and are here to educate you and to make sure you have the best experience possible. Stop by and you will be greeted by either Raquel, Elena, Lori, Tami, Tiffiny, Erica or DJ Kimmie (yes she really is a DJ)
Dogs of Dono (aka the greeters): Our furry kids are most always spending time at the winery because well, why not. They are very friendly, so please stop and say hello to our big beautiful Great Pyrenees Pearl (aka Princess), Our messy and fun Spinone Italiano Missy and our sweet little kitty Mandarin. You are always welcome to bring your well behaved fur kids. We are a dog friendly winery.
Limo’s & Large Groups: We LOVE large groups and have plenty of parking space, but please call us ahead of time so we are able to give you the best experience possible.
Godspeed, the McGillivray Clan
