Watercress Salad with Strawberries
1 1/2 lbs watercress, tough stems removed, leaves torn into small pieces
1/4 cup almonds, toasted
1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup scallions, sliced
Sweet & Sour Vinaigrette
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Tabasco to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine and toss salad ingredients together. Toss with vinaigrette just before serving.
Serve with a chilled bottle of Dono dal Cielo 2010 Sauvignon Blanc for a refreshing spring experience!
